Hello from High Country Hooch

Paul and Leanne are adamant that there is only one true way to conclude each day: sitting around the campfire with good mates, a full belly, and a cup full of good Hooch.

They have been fortunate to have travelled across most of Australia from coast to coast and the deserts in between, but the High Country will always be home.

It is the essence of this serene lifestyle that Paul and Leanne strove to capture when they moved to Glenaladale in 2021 to their 123-acre property known as Squatters Run, nestled at the foothills of the High Country.

Inspired daily by the views of the Alpine National Park, the flavours of those memorable camping trips were born.

Today, Paul and Leanne have mastered their recipes to bring you the highest quality taste of the High Country.

When Paul and Leanne are not distilling Hooch, they are farming Black Angus cattle and Aussie White sheep, and restoring their farm to its former glory.

Their other passion is conservation, having fenced out 25 acres to create a livestock exclusion zone that preserves the creek running through the property, and the surrounding old-growth forest.
